Sodium Stearate

Solid Soap · NaOH · 250 g oil load · 3% superfat · 5 views · 0 saves

I am going to do a comparative functional analysis of creating with this home made sodium stearate in my cosmetic preparations. As a pure fatty acid it should work. No fragrance is to be added so I have a 3% superfat which shold counteract any possible free lye due to the inability to deselect the fragrance in this calculator. Suggested uses: mascara, lotions and other beauty creations that are improved by the addition of sodium stearate. By manufacturing my own I hope to reduce my cost by half or more.
