Simone's Liquid Bar Soap

Liquid Soap · KOH · 100 g oil load · 2% superfat · 2 views · 0 saves

Mix lye and liquid (water) and wait for it to cool to about 120 degrees. Measure out your canola oil and put in a medium size plastic bowl. Pour your lye water into the canola oil and blend with stick blender until fully mixed. Wait about 30-60 minutes and check it again. It will probably have separated, blend again. Keep doing this (blend, leave it for 30-60 minutes and check) until it stops separating. Leave over night to saponify. It's now ready to dilute. Put about 50 grams of the soap paste into a jar and 1 gram of essential oil and mix together. Next, add 50 grams of water and leave over night. The next day, check the consistency, keep adding a few grams of water until you have the consistency you like.
