Olive Oil and Beeswax Bar Soap

Use a 1.2 kg silicon loaf mold inside a wood mold. Combine and heat oils and beeswax to 80C and set aside Add lye to distilled water and mix well. Cool lye solution and oil mixture until both are at the same temperature (ideally between 50C - 60C) Add the lye solution into the oil mixture and mix using an immersion blender until medium trace. Pour the solution in the prepared soap mold. Cool and let it stand for several days before unmolding. Cut into bars and air dry for 4-6 weeks. *Always use non-reactive utensils such as lab-grade glass, silicone, high heat proof ceramic bowls, stainless steel bowls, etc. *Always used face masks and gloves. Well ventilated work are is a must.
