Misha's Bar
Solid Soap · NaOH · 100 g oil load · 12% superfat · 4 views · 0 saves
Add Salt at trace. Will get hard fast, must cut within 5 hours or it will crumble. Start my weighing oils out and melting them. I like to use a crock pot for the solid oils. Heat on low until melted. Put on safety gear like long sleeves and gloves and eye protection and keep some vinegar handy to de activate any splashes. Go to well ventilated area. Weigh out Lye into a container and weigh water into a larger container to avoid splashing, get a long spoon, stainless is good. Slowly add the lye to the water and stir to dissolve it. I do a hybrid of hot process and cold process. So I the soap hot in the crock pot. When it begins to thicken I will pour it into the molds. You can cook it further but you don't get as smooth of a finished product. You can sub in your infused castor oil for the castor oil in the recipe. Get Darin to render you some tallow. I think it will be fabi for his skin. If you want to add scent it will be listed the amount in grams you can add. you can kinda mix and match, that is added when the soap is starting to cool.
