Goatmeal Honey Tallow

Solid Soap · NaOH · 100 g oil load · 5% superfat · 10 views · 0 saves

The honey darkens the batch or in my case, made it more orange, consider adding less than the recipe if you want to keep it light. If you're looking for more colour variation with what you might have in your kitchen, consider adding a wee bit of vanilla to cause a deeper brown, or just adding the oatmeal powder to part of your batch. I didn't add vanilla, but did add the honey and oatmeal to the whole batch, divided it into four and added one of the following to each batch with one left plain; activated charcoal powder, cinnamon powder, and turmeric powder. These were then poured along the side in attempt to simulate woodgrain.
