EXZEMA Bar Soap- Cold Process (99 KOH Purity)
Liquid Soap · KOH · 100 g oil load · 5% superfat · 2 views · 0 saves
Mix all oils in one bowl, and allow them to mix well. Mix the KOH with water, and stir them well to avoid overheating. Mix the water and the oils and start blending until you cannot blend anymore. Blending for 10 to 15 minutes until you get a consistently thick mixture. Give your stick blender breaks to avoid overheating. Continue until you get a thick mixture you cannot blend anymore. Then stop and cover the mixture and hide to cure. Let the soap stay between 14 to 40 days before use for total curing. The cold process is good for preserving the nutrients of the soap. You can add fragrance oils after the soap has been completely cured. To dilute the soap according to your intended use. Generally, a 1:3 soap: water ratio is a good guideline. Try experimenting with a 1:5 ratio if you make hand-washing or body-cleansing soap.
