100 percent Coconut Lavender Soap
Solid Soap · NaOH · 100 g oil load · 25% superfat · 4 views · 0 saves
What i learned: Adding the fragrance to early caused the increase in saponification, too quickly. I need to add this at a reasonable temperature. The lye was at 150 degrees. LEssen learned. I still hAvent chacked the pH, i might wait a few days. Imy speculating this soap will be used as clothing detergent. 05/14/2023 update First of all this soap cannot be laundry detergent; the superfat was 20% or more. The alkaline is much to high right now but this is only week 2 of curing. If the alkaline doesnt go down I will rebatch . The fragrance smells wonderful but 3% is too much for this. When I make this again, 2 variables will happen: Do not mix lye solution and oils unless temperature is less than 120F. Less than 3% oils with no lavender buds throughout.
